dBpowerAMP - the swiss army knife of music converters
Over the past few years, whenever someone asked me how to convert music file formats, I always referred them to dBpowerAMP. I recieved some bad news this week. It seems dBpowerAMP's music converter is no longer completely free. I saw that they now offer the mp3 codec on a trial license because of legal reasons. Never fear! I have found a link to the older completely free version. So go get it now, I don't know how much longer the link to this freeware version will last.

Update: The LastFreewareVersion website has now hosted this version of dBpowerAmp so you can always find it. Thanks mdm.
