After a week of surfing the net to look for
cool apps and sites, my desktop is littered with dozens of links, folders
and zip files. When a friend or the kids want to play on my PC, I just
clear the desktop quickly by clicking on TidyDesk. TidyDesk gives me a
blank desktop and shows off the nice wallpapers I've chosen. I can click
it again to bring them all back. It's a small download and you just unzip
it to a folder and run it. I put a shortcut to it in my quick launch tray
right next to the other desktop icon.
