System Re-ordering the Favorites in IE - put them all in alphabetical order
Fred Langa published a great tip from one of his readers. It seems a simple registry edit will put all your Internet Explorer favorites back into alphabetical order. If you need a good free registry editing tool, I recommend Registrar Lite. If you need something better, try grabbing a free copy of RegMagiK from my friend Boris.
Website - Tip
Quote from the website - The proposed solution is to edit the key in the Registry called Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites by deleting the Order value there. I tried it and after exiting Regedit and starting Internet Explorer, my Favorites get sorted automatically in alphabetical order, just as I like it. Before deleting the Order value, I exported a backup of the key, just in case I would change my mind later.
