Netscape Browser Beta
- using FireFox and IE rendering engines |
It looks like Netscape isn't ready to leave
the Browser Wars. The newest beta of Netscape offers a person the ability
to use the built in Mozilla engine which is a sister to FireFox's, or use
the Internet Explorer engine to display activex content at Microsoft and
other content rich sites. I've always been a big fan of Netscape Navigator
and Netscape Communicator because they offer features that IE never gave
us. I like the ability to use the Netscape Composer to build webpages.
Many people also like the built in Email engine. I tried out the beta
version and I had trouble with the Netscape.com default search page
popping in unexpectedly at the most aggravating times. I'm going to wait
until they get the bugs out before I try it again. If they continue
to improve, I might switch over to Netscape permanently.
Website - Freeware Quote from the website - Netscape Browser provides more security options, streamlines more standard browsing tasks and arms internet users with more timesaving solutions to their browsing needs than any other browser. |
