Download.com removes the adware - finally

In the latest Download Dispatch from Download.com, they announce they've finally removed all the adware programs from their website. I've always liked Download.com but I've always had to double check everything I get from them. The thousands of user reviews that people leave there have had the effect of improving the website and making it a safe place to go for freeware or shareware. Website - Tip Quote from the website - Now with no adware! With a big sigh of relief from Download.com's editorial department, we banned adware from the site last week. We've seen the scourge of adware face-to-face, and, though we tried to offer reasonable warnings about it on Download.com, we knew it was still a problem for people. Not to mention how often we have to get our test machines rebuilt after adware has thoroughly destroyed them.
